DATEX2 and UTMC 

SSL have supported HA in the introduction of DATEX as a means of traffic information dissemination from its earliest stages.  In 2007 SSL were part of the HA delivery team when Highways Agency won the CENTRICO award for best European Project http://www.trl.co.uk/news_landing/detail.asp?pid=363&heid=759.  Since then, SSL have provided services to the Highways Agency and Northern Ireland Road Services supporting their migration to DATEX2. We are able to publish UTMC data and Highways Agency Travel Information in this format.  We are also able to offer DATEX2 links direct to the outstation.

SSL are fully skilled in UTMC architecture and applications and can provide UTMC10 compliant solutions. Examples of applications which we have provided include a VMS Setting Adaptor which enables Councils to set Highways Agency Message Signs, SCOOT Loop Status Adaptor and Journey Time Adaptors.  SSL also provide UTMC Compliant devices including UTMC Sign Interfaces, UTMC Traffic Detectors, UTMC Journey Time Devices.
